Great post. Shadowman6 - I get so many emotions from this piece. However the main emotions I can articulate are Gratitude, Cynicism, and Wonder. Gratitude mainly because the mother was heroic in this piece.. She actively was relieved the scorpion chose her to sting and not the kids Absolutely epic.

The Cynicism comes from thec fact of how everything went down. To me the descriptions are well picked that it makes you believe that this actually happened That is not what happened here. Religion was the first place they went and if she would've died it would've been her fault in some way.
