You are hated by so many that you are now a joke at the work place. Huggins has a unique perspective of the process having once coached on the mid-major level at Akron for five years. Huggins coached in the Big 12 last year at Kansas State and he believes the Big East is as tough, if not tougher, night in and night out than any conference in the country.

I had a terrific career in Stillwater. As everyone knows, I was not a good shooter. OK, I was a terrible shooter: For my career I shot 37 percent from the floor, 24 percent from 3-point range and 46 percent from the line. But in my junior year I led the nation in assists, at 8. OSU went in each of the two years before I got there. I tried to enter a game against Kansas with my shorts on backwards.
Most important, I met my wife, Angie, at Oklahoma State. A few years ago, Hayes came home from school and told me that one of his friends had looked me up on the Internet and learned that I had gotten kicked out of Notre Dame. I had to tell him that yes, it is true. He asked me what happened.
You have to have permission. I live a pretty public life. I am also active on social media. Whatever the statute of limitations is on college-age stupidity, I believe I have exceeded it. But I understand there are many people who will never let me forget. On the other hand, going through this has made me a better person, a better dad.
I would also like to use what happened to teach my children the value of persistence. I look at my job the same way I do my playing career. Think about it — I could not shoot. How much better did I have to be as a defender, a passer and a leader to play at the level I did? Stillwater spoke to me, and it changed me in so many good ways. I still have some guilt. I wanted to make them proud. My dad died of cancer in He would have been 78 on Jan. I regret that. But mostly, I regret he was associated with my actions, which were counter to everything he ever taught me.
So if I could talk to those UCLA kids who got caught shoplifting in China, I would say this: Do the right thing, bide your time and try to leave what happened behind. But hopefully, your mistake will change you for the better, just as mine did.
More than two decades later, I have kept just one item from those trips to the mall — the gold bracelet. It resides in the top drawer of my nightstand, next to my bed. Angie has never asked me about its meaning. As I sat on that set, I could look down at the bracelet and remind myself of how far I had come, and how much I had overcome. Then there were the other costs: my scholarship, my career, my reputation, the diminished respect of my teammates, friends and family.

Yet we did not hear anyone bring that up as an argument against Georgetown's title or as an argument in favor of Louisville's seeding. Third, you appear to have contradicted yourself while making another argument.
During your explanation of why Florida is not in the NCAA Tournament, you claimed it was because their best win was against Washington back in November and said so in a dismissive fashion that made it appear what happened back then does not hold any bearing now.
I agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment. However, if that is the case, we must discount what happened in November. Therefore we must not take into account Louisville's loss to Western Kentucky on a neutral floor, a loss that is constantly brought up as a case against Louisville's No.
I generally agree North Carolina and Pittsburgh are virtual locks for No. That leaves only two spots left for approximately four teams to fight over. As far as those teams go, here is why I believe Louisville has a better or equal case when compared with the other squads. Oklahoma, unlike Louisville, did not win their regular season conference championship.
Listen, I just want you to know that I don't have it in for Syracuse. I don't have it in for you. Boeheim: I never thought you did. I think you're knowledgeable, I think you're right an awful lot of the time. But I think sometimes you can be wrong. I remember last season, you said our regular season schedule wasn't that good and as it turned out at the end of the year we beat N. State on the road, we beat Louisville on the road.
One went to the Elite 8, the other was a Final Four team. We beat a few other good teams. Gottlieb: This has gone into podcast-length territory. I will only point out that when you beat N. State they were not N. State at the end of the year. Gottlieb: Coach, best of luck against them, this weekend. I appreciate you coming on. Congratulations on victory , hopefully, you hit that 1, number sometime in the next could of years.
